Altered Egos, Established in 2002

At the beginning of time there was a clan that went by the name AoD, which stood for "The Army of Darkness". They owned and operated a server for Desert Combat, a modification for Battlefield 1942. It was a 24/7 No Fly Zone map rotation, dedicated to the art of dogfighting and capture the flag. They were all ace pilots. When their leadership started to crumble, a few members (Soupz, Zoso, Drifter and DamagedBodies) broke off and started the clan you see here today. The Altered Egos. They continued the most successful 24/7 NFZ server for Desert Combat until the game Counter-Strike: Source was released.

Most members then migrated to it, opening a server that was Pistols Only. We played this for a few months, until Battlefield 2 was released. We also had a server for it as well. We recruited many more members, and after about a year of playing BF2, half the members went back to Counter-Strike: Source, and the other half stopped playing altogether. The members that returned to CS:S, searched a long time for a new server they could call their home. Finally we found a server that had a great community. "The CounterStrikePub 24/7 Dust2".

It was a very unique server, belonging not to just a single clan, but many. It went very well for more than 2 years. Many of our members were placed as admins, the server was always full, and had forums that were equally popular. Eventually, differences over how the server was run lead to a falling out between the server's owner and the majority of her admin team including the [Æ] Clan, and their friends. This website was put up as the new home for the
